The German volleyball players have won another victory in the fight for the Ko round in the Nations League. The team of Coach Giulio Bregoli hit Canada in Arlington (USA) in a true crime thriller only in Tiebreak 3: 2 (24:26, 25:20, 23:25, 25:23, 15:13). It was the fifth victory in the ninth game of the Nations League (VNL).
This means that the selection of the German Volleyball Association continues to move into the quarter-finals of the VNL for the second time after 2023. The best seven teams, alongside Poland, qualify as hosts of the final tournament.
In the third week of the VNL, Germany competes with a somewhat changed squad. Among other things, Lena Stigrot and Hanna Orthmann returned. The other opponents in the US state of Texas are Thailand, China and the Dominican Republic
In the Nations League, the 18 best teams in the world play twelve group games at three different venues in men and women. The highlight of this year is the World Cup in Thailand for the German volleyball players, which begins at the end of August.
