Berlin’s Senator for Economic Affairs Franziska Giffey (SPD) wants to expand the economic relationships with India this week.
The Senate Administration said that she stayed with a 25-member delegation in the Asian country with a 25-member delegation in the Asian country. Stations of the trip include India’s fourth largest city of Bengaluru and the capital Neu Delhi.
“In view of the great upheavals in the global economy, we have to put up Berlin economic relationships. India is a central component in our internationalization concept for the Berlin economy,” said Giffey, according to the message. The first destination of the trip is Bengaluru on Tuesday. The city is considered the leading IT location of the most populous country in the world.
Berlin exported last year worth 140 million euros to India, the import volume was around 273 million euros in 2024. It was primarily clothing, leather goods and electronics.
