The police and the municipality of Den Bosch together have dozens of residents on the radar who are seen as people who regularly show bastard behavior in traffic. They have received a warning letter. If they go wrong again, they will be tackled hard. “In this way we give the signal that this is not tolerated in our municipality,” says Mayor Jack Mikkers in a letter to the city council.
Traffic homes sin to drive too fast, cause unnecessary noise nuisance with their vehicles, make loud music heard and/or ignoring stop and inwardman. They often misuse themselves in busy parts of the city. They can be young, old, experienced or less experienced drivers.
Lazy who fit in this image and who are under the microscope can be fined immediately instead of getting away with a warning, reports DTV News. Under certain conditions, an agent can register a registered traffic hufter for a course at the Central Driving Skills Office.
Traffic houses with more than four fines in a year turn out to be responsible for 40 percent of accidents in the city. That is why the mayor and aldermen gave the signal for a pilot this spring to tackle the behavior specifically in the city center. In the Hinthamerstraat, Sint Jorisstraat and the Parade, among others, much nuisance is experienced from groups of young men who ride laps to impress. But also against directors of Fatbikes, who are increasingly involved in accidents, is taking place. Cyclists, pedestrians and other motorists are very disturbed by this.
At the East Brabant police, a similar action is running to bring this behavior to the attention: ‘On the radar’. This approach has led to the identification of 20 registered repeat offenders from the municipality. They all received a letter at home stating that they are on this list.
Tackling the municipality
Following the police, the municipality has now also started recording data from the repeat offenders. A list of 35 inhabitants has been published here who have misbehaved several times in traffic. They too have all received a letter at home, stating that they are known to the municipality as a frequent offender.
Due to a note by their name, the traffic homes are closely monitored. Enforcers, both extraordinary investigating officers and those of city supervision, can then, for example, hold a so-called ‘stop conversation’. This is possible with or without parents or carers of those traffic homes. In some cases, administrative measures can also be imposed, such as the mandatory following behavioral and educational processes.
Effectively
From this summer, the Bossche enforcement will have two new motor vehicles that are being used to actively act against fuss behavior in traffic.
For earlier checks, the municipality did not exactly faint with bastard behavior. For example, vehicles were towed away and in a number of cases even seized.
