Johnny de Mol is out at the Oranjezomer. So the big question is: are we going to see Jack van Gelder at the table again? Or does the new invasion of Hélène, Thomas van Groningen, don’t feel like him?

It is still a mystery: Jack van Gelder was one of the determining faces in the Oranjezomer for years, but the operation of Hélène Hendriks has changed everything. Her replacement Johnny de Mol wanted to take a different course and Jack did not belong, but even now that the new Inval-Hélène is coming, it is being done very mysteriously about Jack.

‘Don’t Ident To Me’

Thomas van Groningen, who makes his debut tonight as Oranjezomer-Host, was very difficult a few weeks ago when he was asked for Jack in front of the camera, and even now he is still winding for his remarkable absence.

When asked if Jack comes to the table again, he answers De Telegraaf: “That is not me. I am falling in for Hélène. So I said to the editors: let’s just follow the guest list as it is made for Hélène. And I don’t know what the agreements are.”

“He’s welcome”

But if Thomas clings itself so convulsively to the guest list of Hélène, would Jack just have to be there? After all, Jack was always on the guest list of Hélène.

Does Thomas want him to have it? “I find him an interesting guest, so as far as I’m concerned he is welcome. And not to be false modest, but I really want to behave like the substitute.”

Already asked?

Jack says when asked that he has still not been asked. “I have not been approached for the Oranjezomer yet.”

If Thomas refers so explicitly to Hélène, did something happen between Jack and her? “I have excellent contact with Hélène. No problem.”

And that’s how the Jack van Gelder mystery continues … Who keeps him out there?
