Severi Allonen, who won the Finnish Strongest Man competition last year, grabbed the World Cup gold in Eukonkanto, even though the preparation went into the booklet.
After victory, Severi Allonen and Karla Könönen were interviewed by Kaj Kunnas. Hannu Keränen
It’s Friday. It is raining in Sonkajärvi and the thermometer shows seven degrees. The audience is hardly visible, even though the Eukonkanto World Cup is about to begin.
– At that time, there was a bit of a gloomy mood, Finland’s strongest man Severi Allonen remembers.
But the mood improved strangely as the World Championships were kicked off and Allen took the sprint race victory Karla Könönen on his back.
– I knew I could have quite good qualities for the sport, but I didn’t have any expectations because I didn’t know what kind of pace others were like, Allen says.
In addition to the World Championship gold, Allonen received a World Championship silver medal on Saturday and a quadruple in the main race. Not owl from the first time.
– Saturday was already a great feeling when the sun was shining and the auditorium was full. The event as a whole was very fine, Allonen praises.
In addition to the World Championship medals, a box of beer was also hit by a box.
“It is so little used today that you can see what you come up with before they get older,” Allonen chuckles.
“To the thigh”
Allen started training for the race a couple of months ago.
