"First of all to the Black Sabbath Stream: It was great, the marathon of Black Sabbath And to be able to attend friends at least in any way. A paid live stream? In principle a great thing. And yet, somehow you already had the feeling that you were to sit on a decent cash grave.

Livestream: Nope.

The word “live stream” actually didn’t hit it at all. Because what was served here was in truth a good two -hour concert video. So if we watch Ozzy & Co. how to take the stage together one last time, the party is actually long gone. Yes, that was previously announced and may have technical or license reasons. Nevertheless, you didn’t feel like you were there. You could already read what had happened two hours ago, but now flickering on the screen. “I what here?”? Hardly any more, at least not more than with a subsequent youtube video.

The price: 36 euros for a stream.

Of course, events cost money – nobody expects such an evening for Umme. But almost 36 euros only for a highly temporary stream? Especially when you consider that you do not get exclusive content or any form of interaction – except a chat that jerks properly. Well, it is also worse: you could have had an iced tea with Ozzy DNA for a few thousands. Nevertheless: 36 euros for the live stream was simply too much.

If the stream was not yet expensive enough, you can click the official event hoodie right next to the video window-for only 105 euros. The hoodie is not mandatory, but you want something to show yourself that you were there. If “there” only means in the living room in front of the laptop.

Black Sabbath in the stream: and then the technical problems.

Many users report problems in the chat of problems – of glitches, sound extrapolations, still images and crashes. Sure, part of it goes to the account of poor internet connections at home. But not everything. For me, too, the stream did not run without quirks. For the money you should be able to expect at least a stable, continuously functioning experience. If everything worked out, it looked good. But it didn’t always work.

How was the sound? Growth. Yes, heavy metal lives from guitars. But sometimes you sometimes had the impression that the sound engineers are only interested in the guitars. At Pantera, for example, you only heard Rex Brown marginal, Zakk Wylde all the more.

And also that you just had to get through repetitions later from things that you already saw was unnecessary. The fundraiser players in chat were also perceived controversially: Of course that was for the good cause, some wrote-but couldn’t even be advertised for 36 euros, even if he is for the good cause? It was the most tedious when you also had to look at the fan videos again. Nothing against the fan greetings, but here it just didn’t need a Capo.

In the end, of course, it was still good to be able to attend the thing – even if half of the price had been justified.
