BVB wants to earn around 65 million euros with Jamie Gitten. And that will be reality promptly, as the club confirmed.

Jamie Gitten is about to say goodbye from Dortmund. The transfer of the wing player to Chelsea FC is almost complete. As the Bundesliga club announced on Thursday, “all parties involved” agreed on the sidelines of the club World Cup in Fort Lauderdale-only the “contractual details” would still have to be clarified.

BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl: “The conversations with Chelsea were challenging, but ultimately we are glad that we can in all likelihood be able to implement our economic ideas and then have planning security.” Gittens had a lot of fun for the club and now wanted to “take the next step in his career in London,” continued Kehl.

The 20-year-old completed his medical check in the United States on Saturday. Gittens came to BVB from the youth of Manchester City in 2020, but most recently played a central role under coach Niko Kovač. At the club World Cup, it was only briefly used in the opening game against Fluminense (0-0).
