The sales of the charming bags of the High Citizens had to be stopped. Milla Niskakoski received a message directly from the lawyer. “I think there were really unreasonable and unfair demands in the contact.”

The entrepreneur had to stop making these bags under the threat of sanctions. When he told about it in Somme, the remaining warehouse was sold out instantly. Milla Niskakoski

In the fall, Kaamos Company in Salo brought fabric bags for sale, with the most well -known curse of the Finnish language: the devil. Bags resemble many of the big brand advertising bags.

Entrepreneur Milla Niskakoski says he has been spinning a bag idea in his mind for a long time. The idea began to stew as he lived for a longer period of time in South Korea.

– One time when I came to Finland in the summer, suddenly, without lying, every other one had such an advertising bag on his shoulder, especially in Helsinki.

In Niskakoski’s opinion, the phenomenon seemed huge, but also a cute Finnish in Finland.

– It was soon a common joke topic that if an abroad sees a person on the shoulder on the shoulder, 90 % of the certainty is Finnish. It occurred to me that if it read the devil, the percentage would rise to 100. And how great a bag would be!

The bags went on sale last fall as a side project of Niskakoski Kaamos Company. The purpose was to parody the hit bag phenomenon in the eye of the eye.

– The bag suitably talked about my own target audience and quickly became some degree of cult hit in a small circle.

Bags were sold out

(Kaamos Company’s video has been talked about in somme. If dipping is not visible, you can watch the release from here).

However, the cult hit experienced a fate: the destination of the parody contacted and threatened by Niskakoski with legal action. Niskakoski decided to get an intellectual property lawyer and believes that this solution helped to save his company.

– I think there were really unreasonable and unfair demands in the contact. With the help of the lawyer, I was able to calculate them so that I can sell the bags I made by the end of July and any remaining warehouse should be destroyed, says Niskakoski.

It was soon a common joke topic that if an abroad sees a person on the shoulder on the shoulder, 90 % of the Finnish certainty is Finnish. It occurred to me that if it read the devil, the percentage would rise to 100.

Milla Niskakoski tells about this in the social video above, published in early June. It turns out that bags are not considered to break intellectual property rights, but they are considered to be causing a reputation damage.

According to Niskakoski, his intention was by no means insulted. However, he feels that as a small entrepreneur, he does not have the resources to go into the law on causing a reputation. That is why he says in his video that the manufacture of the current bag model ends according to the requirements.

The designer has rained support in social media. All bags in the online store were sold out shortly after the video was released.

Milla Niskakoski does not mention with his somepidea what a Finnish company is all about. The bag is very similar to Marimekko’s logo bag. Followers’ comments on Instagram discusses Marimekko.

Iltalehti has asked Marimekko’s media communications for the company’s comments. The request for comment has not been answered.

Human -like bathtub products

Milla Niskakoski emphasizes that the Perkele bag collection has not been a major project. In the beginning, he sewed the bags himself, then they were made at a local sewing shop.

Kaamos Company is mainly manufactured by spa products inspired by metal music. The selection includes, for example, bathrobes, soaps and skin care products suitable for the taste of the HEVAN. They have been sold online, at fairs and metal festivals.

There is a customer base at home and abroad.

The products became familiar to the larger audience when Niskakoski participated last winter Lion cave Finland series. The personal brand also convinced the program investors.

However, this resulted in problems. Shortly after the television performance, Niskakoski was soon contacted from Marimekko. The company considered the bags to derogate their brand and Niskakoski was required to stop making them.

Niskakoski says that the contact seemed unfortunate.

– It was quite clear to myself from the beginning that making a parody is about moving in a somewhat gray area. Parody when there is no parody if its item is not recognized. So, as a complete surprise, contact did not come, but its nature surprised, he says.

– It felt bad that no human discussion, even the opening of the discussion, was not made. We started moving directly with the lawyard. I have never been in a similar situation and I found the message with their demands aggressive.

In my opinion, there were really unreasonable and unfair demands in the contact.

Niskakoski asserts that he will not continue to give up play.

– All my creative work always has a little humor or at least a twinkle in the eye. This weird irony or playfulness from my work and my works will not be eliminated, but maybe some things should be a bit more cautious in the future.

According to Niskakoski, the Perkele bags will return to sale in some way in some way in the autumn.
