At Café Boerke Verschuren on the Ginnekenmarkt in Breda, an attempt was made early on Wednesday morning to start a fire. A window was destroyed with a stone and a local resident woke up with that blow.
That happened around a quarter to four. The local resident went to look and saw someone run away. Another residents called the alarm services and extinguished the fire itself with a fire extinguisher.
The fire brigade then checked whether everything was extinguished well. The police came to the cafe with several units and spoke with people in the area.
It is all the umpteenth destruction at the café. In December and January, attempts were made to start a fire and explosions went off. At one of those attacks, the windows of other buildings in the street also died. An 18-year-old man was arrested for this.
