John de Mol is very shocked by some statements that Johan Derksen has made in his podcast. The TV billionaire also addressed the today Inside Snur. “Isn’t right.”

In a few weeks, the Zwarte Cross-Festival will start again, but a number of artists have withdrawn in protest against the new owner KRR, who has ties with Israel. For example, Goldband and Youp van ‘t Hek have canceled their performances. The same investment company, for example, also owns Q-Park.

Virtue for b known

Johan Derksen spoke about it a few weeks ago in his podcast Greetings from Grolloo. “There are even problems with the Zwarte Cross, because they do business with an investment company and they also have things in Israel and invests in the arms industry. Then I think: at least they are very sensible investors,” he said.

“Because when you see how Rijnstaal is running in Germany, big money is earned from the war there. I think the fact that artists no longer want to perform on the Zwarte Cross, because the investment company is involved with deals in Israel, a bit far. I think that really wants to be good for the stage.”

John calling?

That black cross is a success and remains a success, says Johan. “And later I heard – not to my dismay, but to my surprise – that SBS 6 also does business with the same investment band, so I am actually infected, but I have not thought about it for a second to call John de Mol.”

But that is not true, says Johan now in the latest episode of Greetings from Grolloo. “John de Mol turns out to be a very loyal listener, because that is the first listener who responded.”

“It’s not right!”

Johan has to come back to it, he admits. “We talked about the Zwarte Cross that an investment company was involved. The newspaper contained an article about all kinds of Dutch companies that also did business with that, with that society. SBS 6 was also included.”

“Not Talpa, but SBS 6, so apparently I said that here, and John responded immediately. He says:” I have nothing to do with that investment company and I don’t do anything with it, “so this is actually the first rectification we have to pronounce.”

No apologies

Does Johan apologize here? We are not used to that. “Certainly not apologies, but I think: if you provide the wrong information and it is not true, then you have to revoke it.”

“Of course it has been a bit naive of mine to assume that what was in the newspaper was true.”
