The possible change from Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart to Bayern is currently causing plenty of vertebrae and discussions. Ex-national player Dietmar Hamann finds that the currently traded transfer fees for the U21 international is far too high.
“Woltemade played an excellent season and also showed at the U21 European Championship. But the truth also includes that he switched to Stuttgart free of charge last summer and was not even registered for the Champions League,” said today’s TV expert from the “Mede Merkur/TZ” media group. “For me, even 50 million euros would be too much for him. I see a transfer between 30 and 40 million – and even there is a lot of imagination.”
According to matching reports, Nick Woltemade has already agreed with FC Bayern for future cooperation. “You will see whether this is the right step. I ask myself where to play,” said Hamann with a view to a possible change from the 23-year-old to Munich. “He is a player who plays in the front. But you have Kane and Musiala.”
Woltemade is “a very good player, I’m a fan of him too,” emphasized Hamann. “But as a Kane-Backup it would be too expensive for me. And I don’t see him on the side.”
However, the 51-year-old at Bayern clearly sees the greatest need on the offensive outside. “Coman injured himself again, Gnabry played very anonymously against Flamengo. In my view, you still need someone on the left, otherwise you would be incredibly dependent on Olise,” Hamann analyzed.
Much more competition than before for FC Bayern
He added: “This current ‘Woltemade or none’ is due to the fact that some wish players have already canceled for the left wing and that there is obviously also a lack of alternatives. Leao, Barcola, Gitten, Williams – some players have already been mentioned.”

The former Munich man said: “When I judge the search from a distance, I have the feeling that you were a bit interested in everyone and none really.”
20 years ago, two or three clubs with FC Bayern competed for his transfer flirts, now there were ten or more. “You have to be early there and show the player that you really want him. I had the impression that FC Bayern was not agreed again,” said Hamann.
