The 22-year-old Sem Westerveld is the son of six-time Orange-international Sander Westerveld and is therefore just like his father under the bar. In the past two seasons he came through injuries, including a cruciate ligament injury, but barely in action. AZ therefore rents him out to the people of Maastricht in the hope that he will be the first goalkeeper to make flying hours there.
