3×3 basketball players reach the World Cup final in Mongolia
11.41 am: The Dutch 3×3 basketball players have reached the final of the World Cup in Mongolia. Janis Boonstra, Noortje Driessen, Ilse Kuijt and Evelien Lutje Schipholt defeated Canada with 21-15 in the Half Final battle.
Poland or Mongolia is later on Sunday the opponent of Orange in the final. The Netherlands, which was placed second behind China in Ulaanbaatar, never took a World Cup medal.
The Dutch men’s team, reigning Olympic champion, stranded earlier in the intermediate round.
Not Fitte Van Aert is declined for the Belgian championship
10.27 am: Wout van Aert does not participate in the Belgian Championship on Sunday. The cyclist of Visma – Lease A Bike is not fit, reports his team.
“Wout developed disease symptoms on Saturday evening and after a medical evaluation this morning it was decided to withdraw him from the game,” said Visma – Lease a Bike.
Van Aert is on the starting list for the Tour de France, which starts on Saturday. The other riders of Visma – Lease a Bike are leader Jonas Vingegaard, Matteo Jorgenson, Sepp Kuss, Simon Yates, Tiesj Benoot, Victor Campenaerts and Edoardo Affini.
Defending champion Mexico and Honduras to semi -finals Gold Cup
09. 15 hours: Mexico has qualified for the semi -finals at the Gold Cup. The defending champion was 2-0 too strong for Saudi Arabia in the quarterfinals. Alexis Vega opened the score shortly after the break. In the final phase, Abdullah Madu passed his own goalkeeper.
