Fran Hurdall “Down Under” covered over 3,800 kilometers and set a record. The historical action has a serious background.
From the west to the east coast, over 3,800 kilometers- in just 60 days. The former British footballer Fran Hurndall has set a clear sign with her extraordinary run through Australia. The 33-year-old reached her goal in Sydney exhausted on Sunday.
With the campaign, Hurndall collected donations for affected domestic violence. The burden on the route was enormous, she said. But: “What I went through is nothing compared to what women suffering from domestic violence are going through every day,” she said, according to her team.
During the run, Hurndall had to struggle with an injury to the Achilles tendon and inflamed bubbles. Nevertheless, she completed the distance much faster than the previous record holder – by 17 days, as her team announced. The performance should now be submitted to the Guinness Book of Records.
