The club World Cup is also financially lucrative for the participating clubs. The BVB and Bayern could already collect an additional high sum in a quarter -finals.

For Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, the club World Cup is more at stake than just athletic fame. In addition to the sporting progress, enormous sums attract prize money – with every round the sum increases significantly.

The group phase was financially lucrative for both Bundesliga clubs. If both teams reach the quarter -finals, they receive $ 13,125 million each (around 11 million euros). Bavaria meets CR Flamengo on Monday night (10 p.m. CEST). Dortmund plays against CF Monterrey on Thursday (3:00 a.m. CEST). Both games are transmitted live at Sat.1 and DAZN.

However, the quarter -finals are far from over. A semi -finals brings $ 21 million (around 18 million euros), 30 million (around 26 million euros) will be due for the final. The winner of the tournament can even look forward to over $ 40 million (around 34 million euros). Already in the group phase there were two million dollars for victories, undecided were rewarded with one million.

In addition, there is an inaugural fee that is different depending on the club. Overall, the World Association FIFA provides prize money of one billion dollars. The maximum possible sum, including all bonuses and the highest inaugural fee, is $ 125 million (around $ 106 million).
