The prospects for an early release from pre -trial detention. Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht (33) must continue to endure in the Holstenglacis detention center in Hamburg. As the public prosecutor confirmed, dismissal at the weekend is excluded – instead, the actor and musician is apparently imminent delivery to Austria.
Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht: Transfer to Austrian prison?
As chief prosecutor Mia Sperling-Kartens said according to “Bild”, the actor can expect a transfer at the earliest next week. How exactly the transport to Austria should run is not yet clear.
According to reports, Ochsenknecht is housed in the new building of the detention center, together with around 500 further investigative prisoners. It is said to have received a single cell and have a courtyard once a day. Most recently, the headlines also made that ex-partner Yeliz Koc should have paid his open hotel bill of around 14,000 euros, according to media reports. The open claim had ensured that a European arrest warrant had been issued against him. The Innsbruck public prosecutor had obtained this against him.
Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht: Why is he in custody?
Ochsenknecht is said to have organized a celebration in a Tyrolean hotel in 2022. However, the invoice for around 14,000 euros was never paid. The Austrian authorities therefore accuse the TV star with severe fraud. As “Bild” reported, Ochsenknecht is said to have repeatedly put off the hotel boss Wilhelm Steindl with news. His lawyer previously spoke of a “cooperation with the hotel” – there were only disagreements about the costs. It has long since been installed that the advertisement was “disproportionate”.
In an Instagram story, Ochsenknecht apparently also tried to calm down: “There is a big misunderstanding. We are just clarifying,” he wrote, provided with a heart emoji. Hotelier Steindl sees it differently: “The public prosecutor cannot be fooled. The right is the same for everyone.” In the event of a conviction for serious fraud, he expects a prison sentence. When Jimi Blue will be released from the custody, however, it remains to be seen.
