Cristiano Ronaldo claims to have scored 1,000 goals in his career. But he still lacks a few dozen. A contract extension helps.

Cristiano Ronaldo continues his career in Saudi Arabia. The 40-year-old extended his contract with the Al-Nassr Club and, despite his age, apparently does not yet think of the end of the career.

The club from Riad officially announced the contract extension on Thursday. Ronaldo switched to Al-Nassr in early 2023. His original contract would have expired at the end of June. Speculation about a possible change had recently increased, but an agreement with the association already indicated.

Since his change, the Portuguese international has scored 93 goals for Al-Nassr in 105 games. Last season he became top scorer of the Saudi Pro League with 25 goals. In the league it was only enough for Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo is currently there without a trainer. The association announced on Wednesday that coach Stefano Pioli leaves the club. The Italian is said to be faced with a commitment to AC Florence. Ronaldo had recently won the Nations League with Portugal.
