Talpa has imposed a silence obligation presenter Manuel Venderbos. He is not allowed to say anything about the Tino Martin issue and his current position at Shownieuws. “I’ve been stupid.”
It was entertaining, but not very discreet from Manuel Venderbos: the presenter of Shownieuws explained two weeks ago in the AD Media Podcast, which he also presents that Tino Martin was sent away from the show section. Tino sat there on the desk and seemed to talk with a double tongue. After the advertising break he suddenly couldn’t be seen anymore.
“We don’t say anything!”
The showpers feasted on Manuel’s unveiling, but as a host it is of course a bit of a sewing region towards Tino. The top of Shownieuws was completely over the piss and decided to support Tino publicly instead of her own presenter. And that was the former boss of the show section, Tina Nijkamp, then again misplaced.
Anyway: we have not seen Manuel in Shownieuws since that entire riot and it seems serious that he has been fired or has been put inactive. Talpa does not want to deny or confirm that: “We do not communicate about the presentation grilles of our daily programs.”
“Doesn’t sound good”
Tina does not think that sounds good, she indicates to her analysis canal. She thinks Manuel has received a punitive measure. “This doesn’t sound too good. Hopefully we’ll see Manuel again soon.”
She continues: “It would be bizarre if you were sent out after the editor -in -chief does not even take it up for you, just because you said: ‘Tino Martin was sent away in the advertising break’, which may also be true, we don’t know that.”

What does Manuel say about it himself? Last week he was silent in the AD Media Podcast, but this week he will be asked about it. “I agreed that I wouldn’t say much about that,” he says.
He continues: “No, yes, I was very stupid a few weeks ago in the podcast and I have now agreed with Talpa in good consultation that I am not going to say anything about it anymore, so I will stick to that this time.”

Angela de Jong tries to get something more out of it, but she doesn’t succeed. “So what we ask, you’re going to say nothing about it?”
Manuel about that: “No.”
All in all, it is still not clear what Manuel’s status is as presenter of Shownieuws. Talpa is in any case known as quite strict for his own employees. For example, Evert Santegoeds was put on non-active once because of looseness in Shownieuws and Wilfred Genee was also banned from speaking.
