Jeroen Fontein and Naut Donders from Audio Obscura say they are tired, but also satisfied: “It was legendary.” Their third partner is not there. “He no longer has a voice,” says Jeroen.
The stage that hosted the event organizers turned out to be one of the most popular in the entire festival. It became so busy that the internship was closed to even more audience. A long line of people who eventually managed to break through the crush barriers. People also climbed over fences – some out of fear of oppression, others and then arrive at the internship. It was therefore exciting and the atmosphere became grim.
Grip on the situation
The music had to go out to prevent worse. “That was nice for anyone,” says Jeroen. Naut: “To be honest, I had also prepared that something like that would happen. I always had the feeling that every hour we could continue, there was an extra.” When the music had to go out, it felt powerless, he says. “But we also tried to get a grip on the situation again quickly. And in the end there was no one really in danger, so that’s nice.”
