Around four o’clock in the morning strangers with a long tree trunk in the glass back door of the store. They stole 11 bicycles at less than one minute, good for a retail value of 70,000 euros.
At the front of the bicycle shop there are, however, special rampal posts, two large flower boxes are anchored in the ground at the back door.
The three perpetrators fled with a van, which has since been found without a loot.
“If you look at the camera images, you will see how fast, how three it is,” says bicycle dealer Bart Gheysen. “They are professionals. You see how quiet but also how fast they do it.”
