Grew up in rugby players Castricum

From the age of fifth, Holland played for Rugbyclub Castricum, before he left for the other side of the world more than ten years later. One of his trainers in Noord-Holland was Wiet van Duin. “This is so incredibly special. I am euphoric and I get goosebumps. As if a boy from Castricum is going to play for the national football team of Brazil or for Barcelona. This is the highest thing you can get,” Van Duin responds enthusiastically.

“It is a huge boy (2.04 meters and 124 kilos) and he is enormously driven. A very nice, friendly boy who really wanted to learn. He was already on the field before the training started to do exercises,” the youth trainer recalls.

At the beginning of July New Zealand will play a triptych against France. The expectation is that he will come within the lines as a substitute.
