Damon Golriz fled in 1995 as a teenager from Iran, but his heart is still there. “I had a sleepless week.” He hears from his family in Iran how the population hopes for a positive outcome of the Israeli attacks: a chance of a new regime, without Ayatollahs. As an ex-Muslim he says: “I have hope, but no confidence. Without an alternative this ends on anarchy and that is scary.” At the same time, he sees how a burning world is one big distraction maneuver for the geopolitical risk game that is being played in the meantime.
