At the end of June, Berlin will be the navel of the German jazz world for a moment. At the seventh edition of the Jazzwoche there is not only more than 30 concerts in the capital, which also reflect the entire variety of genre, but also an extensive accompanying program.

“Where do we go from here?” The motto of the series of events is called – and it is not just the future of jazz. It is discussed how, in the cultural company besieged by savings constraints and socio -political discourses, but also in general in a pluralized society.

The opening will take place on June 27, 2025 (Friday) from 7 p.m. (admission, starting at 7.30 p.m.) in the Club Gretchen. Admission is free. In addition to a reception, there is a panel (“What is jazz in Berlin?”) And music by Banquet of Consequences, Yeah, About That (Lucy Lieb / Franka Fairy / Manuel Husseini) and M.Takara & Carla Boregas.

Jazzwoche Berlin #7: Program

The discourse weekend (June 28th and 29th) brings a media workshop on music journalism in the yellow villa, a discussion about classism in jazz and in various locations gigs from Ua Pina Berlin ‘S Turkish Standards (Brotfabrik), Gawlik/Stein (Donau115), Jessica Gall Trio (A-Trane), Noir de Soul), Kalle Zeier Trio (Brotfabrik), Nicolas Delgado Quartet (B-Flat) and the winner of the Jazz & Soul Award 2025-Irma Neumüller (A-Trane).

At the campaign day “Berlinistkultur – Jazz against Culture Removal” there will be free of charge on July 4th (Friday) in Prenzlauer Berg, Charlottenburg, Neukölln and live music in the fresh air of numerous bands and word contributions in the sign of #Berlinistkultur and #Unbürzable.
