A fire broke out on Saturday evening in the Malpie nature reserve in Valkenswaard.
The fire started around half past night. Due to the persistent drought, the fire brigade pulled out with several cars to the fire on the Luikerweg. With four extinguishing vehicles and a water tank, 22,000 liters of water were immediately available for extinguishing.
The area that was destroyed by the fire concerned 20 by 30 meters. Around a quarter to eight, the ‘Brand Meester’ signal was given.
