Ratiopharm Ulm Spiel 3 won at FC Bayern in the final of the German Basketball championship. The decision could already be made in game 4.
In the third final game, Ratiopharm Ulm was able to prevail with 79:81 (42:37). In a closely competitive game, an outstanding Justinian Jessup pulled the game on the side of the guests, who can now lead the series 2-1 and become champions at home.
The first few minutes belong to Ulm
Like the first two games, the defensive shaped the course of the game. The Ulm shone with aggressiveness in the first few minutes. Karim Jallow and Ben Saraf made good decisions offensive and so the guests took 11: 6.

FC Bayern coach Gordon Herbert was not satisfied with this start of his team and intervened with a break. In the subsequent 10-0 run, Shabazz Napier, who took every throw and scored nine points in three and a half minutes, shone.

At 74:71, Devin Booker showed his best block and Nick Weiler-Babb for Munich from a half-left position. However, Ulm was not written off. Justinian Jessup scored two threes in a row and equalized 38 seconds before the end to 77:77.
After the time -out of Gordon Herbert, the Ulmer simply continued and brought his team to the front with 79:80. Jessup also transformed the last point by free. The strong Ulmer can now be champions in the coming game on Tuesday. “We have to throw everything in to get the title. We have to win this game,” said Matchwinner Jessup with a view of Tuesday at Dyn. He had to “stay cool” in the final phase, “it was an enormously tight game in the last few minutes.” After the defeat of his Bavaria, who threatens a Titellose season, world champion Niels Giffey, was mighty: “In the end it was very balanced and the game did not run in our direction. We have to be tough and now react.”
