Frank van Leeuwen, presenter of Goedemorgen Nederland, would like to follow in the footsteps of Eva Jinek at some point. “I would find that very cool one day.”
Eva Jinek has been the face of the eve of NPO 1 since this year: after the summer she returns and then in principle she will turn the entire TV season again. If she wants to be free again in the future-she is currently working unusually doing a lot for her-then they can always turn to WNL presenter Frank van Leeuwen.
New Eva?
Just like many other presenters, Frank also has talk show ambitions. “I was always a big fan of De Wereld Draait Door, purely as a viewer, apart from the stories we now know from behind the scenes. When I look at what Eva Jinek does on the early evening, I also think: what good,” he says in Veronica Superguide.
He continues: “Not that I want to compare myself with her, but such a format with three conversations that last a little longer and alternate the hard news with a beautiful, light story, I would find that very cool one day to be allowed to do.”
Angry to Sam?
Frank was very close to presenting his own talk show, but his regular morning buddy Welmoed Sijtsma has left the new WNL recovery Sam Hagens. Painful? “I indicated at WNL last year that I wanted to switch from the news block to interview. In principle I would do that for three days.”
He continues: “That was something different due to contract -like situations. It was great to make such a flying start, with five morning shows a week. But for the balance between work and private life, three days is a lot healthier. I was especially happy when Sam joined.”
