Schalke loan Lino Tempelmann remains at Eintracht Braunschweig. The clubs announced the fixed change of the 26-year-old midfielder on Saturday, who had scored six goals at BTSV in 16 second division games since January. According to reports, an amount of 300,000 euros was reported as a transfer. According to Schalke, bonus payments could come to the fixed amount, the amount of which was not officially confirmed. Tempelmann is also said to have aroused interest in the Bundesliga, but now ties with a three -year contract with the Lower Saxony by 2028.
“With his extremely strong performance in the second half of the season, Lino showed that he is a difference in this league and has also played in the hearts of our fans,” said Braunschweig’s sports director Benjamin Kessel about the transfer. “It was not only our clear wish to bind it to us beyond the summer, but also to create clarity in this personnel at an early stage. We are therefore very happy that we were able to convince Lino despite strong competition of staying at Eintracht. With its outstanding qualities, he will continue to play a very decisive role in the future.”
Director Youri Mulder could be heard from the Schalkern: “After the successful course of the second half of the season and relegation with Eintracht Braunschweig, we spoke to him about the new season. Lino clearly expressed that he sees his future in Braunschweig. With a view to the still running contract for Schalke, we wanted a clear decision that we have now made together.” At Schalke, Tempelmann had only completed 28 games since his 700,000 euro change from SC Freiburg 2023.
Tempelmann explained: “I am pleased to continue the way at Eintracht and be an integral part of the club from the start. From the beginning I felt an extreme appreciation that was certainly a reason for my decision with the social environment. I would like to continue to do performance and shape a successful time with the association.”
