The Wimbledon general rehearsal in the Westphalian Halle continues to go well for Alexander Zverev. Now he is in the semi -finals.
At first Alexander Zverev ran onto the toilet because he was not able to recognize it, then he also hit his left knee. The best German tennis professional at the ATP tournament in Halle (Westphalia) did not stop on Friday: after a competitive 6: 4, 7: 6 (8: 6) against Flavio Cobolli from Italy, he is now in the semi-finals and meets the Russian Daniil Medwedew.
Zverev starts with early break
Right at the beginning of the match against number 24 of the world rankings, Zverev succeeded in breaking, but at 40:40 in the second game, but he suddenly curved himself on the baseline and signaled the referee that he urgently had to go to the toilet. After returning to the square, he indicated to his box that he had had to hand over.
“Everything was fine in front of the match. Then suddenly I just didn’t feel good, I’m down from the pitch and handed over. I had never had anything like this before,” Zverev said the situation. “After that, I think it was a good game from me,” said Zverev.

Both had most recently played against each other in the semi-finals of the Australian Open 2024, Medledew won after a 0: 2 set deficit.
The Medvedev, placed on number three, was the first to move into the round of the last four. He defeated Alex Michelsen from the USA 6: 4, 6: 3. Zverev is in Halle for the ninth time, for the third time he can now reach the final. He has not yet won the tournament. In 2016 he lost to Florian Mayer, 2017 Roger Federer.
