For Serge Gnabry from FC Bayern Munich, not too much has changed in his situation. When asked about his future planning, the 29-year-old replied that everything was as in the “recent years”. Gnabry pushed after: “If there is something to announce, you will find out.”
The foreign striker continues to feel “probably at Bavaria. It is great fun playing in the team and being part of this team. Therefore: let’s see everything else”.
For him, Gnabry is “nothing new” for him that Gnabry goes to his last contract year and should have been among the FC Bayern sales candidates for a long time. This “has been going on for three years”. There is therefore “nothing new to say”.
Gnabry at FC Bayern slowed down by knee problems
In the past season, Serge Gnabry made 27 out of 34 possible Bundesliga games, scoring seven goals and five templates. In the first half of the season he had been slowed down due to knee problems, in the second half of the season mostly others received the lead in the starting line -up of head coach Vincent Kompany. National coach Julian Nagelsmann had not taken him into account for the March internationals.

The chance of more missions from the start at Bayern should increase at least after the departures of Leroy Sané and Thomas Müller. An additional plus: Serge Gnabry can also act as a backup of center forward Harry Kane.
FC Bayern had signed the Stuttgart native of Werder Bremen for eight million euros in summer 2017. After he was awarded to TSG Hoffenheim for a year, Gnabry started at Bayern. For the German record champions, he scored 93 goals in 281 competitive games so far and provided 60 templates. Among other things, he won the German championship six times and the Champions League.
