The German volleyball players celebrated the second victory in the Nations League within 24 hours. The team of national coach Giulio Bregoli surprisingly prevailed in Belgrade on Thursday with 3: 1 (25:20, 23:25, 25:17, 25:23) against hosts and world champions Serbia.
The day before, the selection of the German Volleyball Association (DVV) won 3-2 at the start of the second week of tournament. The best scorer for the team of the German Volleyball Association (DVV) was against Serbia Lena Kindermann with 17 points. For Germany it was the fourth success in the sixth game.
In the first week of the VNL, the DVV women had prevailed against the Czech Republic and South Korea, against Olympic champion Italy and Brazil, the team of Bregoli each narrowly missed the surprise with a 2: 3. A total of 18 teams start in the Nations League, each playing twelve games over three tournament weeks in the first phase. The best eight teams qualify for the final tournament, the DVV women only achieved 2023 in the previous six editions of the VNL.
