After five years under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal FC Arsenal, Carlos Cuesta moved to Parma Calcio to Italy. There the 29-year-old Spaniard is currently the youngest head coach in one of the top 5 leagues in Europe.
HSV coach Merlin Polzin (34) will not go to his first Bundesliga year as the second youngster coach of the top leagues, and the former St. Pauli coach Fabian Hürzeler (32) will be replaced by Brighton & Hove as the youngest boss at the level.
Cuesta was active in Italy before his time at Arsenal – as a coach in the youngsters of Juventus. Under Arteta at the Gunners, the Mallorcan native participated in 261 competitive games. In the past season, Parma was preserved by coach Cristian Chivu from relegation, whereupon the Romanian moved to Inter Milan and inherited Simone Inzaghi there.
