On Tuesday (June 17) the trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs in New York went to the 25th day of the trial. On this day, the jury of the “Freak Offs” and text messages between Casandra “Cassie” Ventura and the accused were presented.
To the exclusion of the public
As “The Independent” reports, the videos were only allowed to be spotted by the jury – neither lawyers, prosecutors nor the audience had insight. The screens in the courtroom were turned over and the jury had to wear headphones.
Already on Monday (June 17th) the jury saw video material of these “freak offs”. This means excessive parties where stuff is said to have taken place: interior statements are said to have taken place sexual assault, drug abuse and other illegal activities. These are at the center of several serious allegations against the music producer and rapper.
The defense presented the court seven clips with a length of between 22 seconds and four minutes. According to reports, the jury should not have shown any striking reactions that nobody had averted their eyes or showed recognizable disgust.
The videos were presented in connection with text messages that were exchanged between Cassie and Combs. These contained several sexually clear messages that Cassie wrote to her friend at the time. In some news it is said to have made it lookful that she was looking forward to the “Freak Offs”. So she wrote that she was “always ready” “freak out”.
