EU adjusts visa rules: human rights violations can cost Israel visa -free travel

The European Union has implemented an important reform in the rules on visa -free travel. From now on, serious human rights violations can lead to the suspension of the visa exemption for short stays in the EU and Schengen countries, as agreed on Tuesday by the European Parliament and the Council. Israel is mentioned as one of the first countries who run the risk of losing their visa -free access to the EU.
