This announced his “Eternal Favorite Club” Olympique Lyon, in which Lacombe had become a national player and for whom he later also worked as a sports director, coach and consultant.
“With great sadness, we found out about Bernard Lacombe on this Tuesday evening,” wrote the club on the X platform and condolned the family. “Adieu Bernard, you were our legend, the greatest of all.”
However, Lacombe celebrated his greatest success as a player in club football with Girondin’s Bordeaux, three times he won the French championship, in 497 games he scored 255 goals.
