The switch from Florian Wirtz to Liverpool FC will go to the Bundesliga history books. The player’s parents also benefit financially.

The official announcement of Florian Wirtz’s change to Liverpool FC is apparently imminent. As the “Bild” newspaper reports, the still Leverkusen star should complete the medical check in the English metropolis on Friday and possibly on Saturday. After that, the change could also be officially carried out, because the contracts have already been signed.

According to the report, Florian Wirtz’s parents should also benefit financially. Since father Hans Wirtz and mother Karin Groß would have carried out the negotiations without the negotiator usual in England, they are entitled to the consultant commission. This amounts to ten percent of the negotiated Wirtz content. In the case of rained annual payments of 20 to 22 million euros, the Wirtz parents earned around ten million euros over the five years of the contract (term by 2030).

In general, enormous sums flow at the transfer of the international – which break several records. According to the “Bild” report, the transfer for Wirtz is 125 million euros. In addition, there would be 15 million euros in realistic bonus payments and even another ten million euros in bonuses that are difficult to reach. This should include the Champions League victory, in which Wirtz should have a significant share.

At the same time, Wirtz becomes the most expensive German player of all time and the most expensive Bundesliga transfer in history. The deal would also be the highest paid transfer for the financially strong Premier League. So far, the Argentinian Enzo Fernández, who switched from Benfica Lisbon to Chelsea for 121 million euros in January 2023, held this record.
