Duel around the group victory: DFB goalkeeper is probably canceled

At the U21 European Championship, the German team probably has to do without their goalkeeper in the fight for group victory. So far it has been a good backing.
U21 national goalkeeper Noah Atubolu threatens to miss the group finals against England at the European Football Championship. “I will not take too much risk at Noah. If I now get the sign that he is not doing well and that he should spend the time better in bed, then the quarter -final game is more important to us,” said national coach Antonio di Salvo the day before the game against defending champion England.
Should Atubolu, who plagued a sore throat before the Czech Republic, actually cannot appear, Tjark Ernst von Hertha BSC should come to his second U21 mission. Di Salvo “honestly” calculated this option around 30 hours before kick -off. As the third goalkeeper, Nahuel Noll from Greuther Fürth is part of the contingent. Jonas Urbig is missing due to the club World Cup with FC Bayern Munich.
The final training in Modra took place without atubolu. “He just is not doing so well,” said Di Salvo, after deciding to leave him in bed on Tuesday.
In the first two group games, Atubolu had shone with strong performances against Slovenia (3-0) and the Czech Republic (4: 2).
The starting point before the duel with defending champion England (Wednesday, 9:00 p.m./Sat.1) is clear: Germany leads the table with six points and is already qualified for the quarter -finals. England is with four points and could still leave. The group winner meets Spain or Italy in the Ko round.
Defense player Tim Oermann, who will be on loan from Bayer Leverkusen for Sturm Graz, starts from a special game: “I think the game is already being watched by all over Europe because they are two top teams.” You want to show yourself, stand against the opponent and be better than the opponent. Oermann, like Paul Wanner from 1. FC Heidenheim, received a starting eleven from Di Salvo. The trainer left open whether attacker Nick Woltemade was spared.
