Now that Hélène Hendriks is longer out of the running, it has been decided to continue for two weeks after this broadcasting week of the Oranjezomer with her replacement Johnny de Mol, but then – from Monday 7 July – Thomas van Groningen will take over the baton. At Johnny, Sidekick Jack van Gelder is not welcome, but what about the lead if Thomas is in charge?

Thomas tells Shownieuws That he wants to stay close to the Hélène format. “The program is a format that has been very popular for years and I think you just have to continue that.”
“I don’t think I should be sitting here rigorously all my own friends. I think it should just be the Oranjezomer as Hélène made him, only Hélène is not there for a while and then I am just there.”
Jack back?
Will Jack come back later? Thomas: “I have no idea if Jack van Gelder will return. We have to take a look.”
The Shownieuws reporter: “If you want, he will just come back?”
Thomas: “Is that so I have that … I hear this for the first time. What I say: I really want to make the program a bit with the people who have made the Oranjezomer for a long time.”
The reporter: “So Jack van Gelder.”
Thomas: “That’s true.”
