Reinforcement for coach Fabian Hürzeler and Brighton & Hove Albion. Diego Coppola joins the Seagulls from Hellas Verona. At the club from the south of England, the 21 -year -old central defender signed a contract until 2030 and is intended to cost a transfer fee of 11 million euros. The market value of the newly baked two -time Italian international is still 7.5 million euros, but in the course of the update in Serie A this Tuesday, however, it increases in the area of the roses.
“Diego is an interesting reinforcement for the club. Although he is still young, he is tall, strong and agile and will give us a real physical presence. He has made impressive progress in Serie A and deserves his appointment to the Italian national team. We look forward to supporting him in his development,” said Hürzeler.
For Coppola it is the first step abroad. Trained in Hellas, he contained 85 missions (four goals) for the mastini. In the past season he was in the starting eleven of 34 league games 33 times. He is currently participating in the European Championships in Slovakia with the U21 of his home country. Including Coppola, Brighton’s expenses are increasing to 60 million euros this summer, nothing has yet been taken.
