Autosport – Nina Gademan from Wijster achieved great personal successes in Canada last weekend. On the Montreal circuit, she climbed the stage of the F1 Academy twice.

In two of the three races that were driven in Montreal, 21-year-old Drentse finished third. These were her first stage places in the talent class. In the third race she was left without points. Because of these results, she is now in eighth place in the general classification.

On social media, Gademan says he is very proud of her performance. “In the past nine months I had physical and mental problems due to an injury,” she writes. “There were times when I wondered if it would be fine again, let alone that I could be competitive, but I refused to give up.”

According to Gademan, the recent results are proof that you can overcome all setbacks. The following races of the F1 Academy will be on the Zandvoort circuit from 29 to 31 August.
