Gabriel Vidovic finally leaves FC Bayern after three borrowings. On Monday, the 21-year-old attacker, who will probably move back to one of his previous loan clubs, said goodbye in a social media post. A few hours later, both the Munich and the new club of the Augsburg native spoke up. Vidovic changes to Dinamo Zagreb.

After nine unforgettable years it is time to open a new chapter, ”Vidovic wrote before I was 12 years old. I have been able to wear FC Bayern Munich’s jersey – with pride, passion and gratitude. A huge thank you to all coaches, supervisors, players and employees who accompanied me on this way. And of course: Thank you, FC Bayern, so that I can be part of this family. There are time for new challenges, new goals-but I will never forget this time.

At FC Bayern it was heard by sports director Christoph Freund on Monday evening: “Gabriel Vidović went through his football training at our FC Bayern campus and then continuously developed through our loan concept by accepting every challenge. Now the right time for the next step is in his career. We would like to thank him for his commitment and wish him continued success in terms of sport.”

Since Vidovic’s contract in Munich is still valid until 2026, FC Bayern would have to collect a transfer for their own plant. There was recently talk of a low million sum plus possible resale participation in reports. Vidovic’s market value had increased to the career high value of 3.5 million euros during the successful loan to Zagreb, but because of a significantly less good time at Mainz 05, something fell again. For FC Bayern, he made eight competitive games with a little more than 70 minutes with the professionals. At Dinamo he scored nine goals and three assists in 40 games. His first loan led him to Vitesse Arnheim in 2022, where Vidovic came to four goals in 25 games.

After his signature in Zagreb, Vidovic said: “I can hardly put my joy into words. I wear my favorite streak again and cannot hide my enthusiasm. Everyone knows how much Dinamo means me and my family. I am simply overjoyed and the club for their trust. I am aware of the expectations and can hardly wait. To me that we prepare ourselves as best as possible and bring the championship title back to Zagreb. ”
