The three will be brought to the border with Jordan on Monday, where they are met by people from their respective embassies, says Adalah.

Van Rennes and the two others, Pascal Maurieras and Yanis Mhamdi, would initially be deported last Friday via Tel Aviv airport. But they were returned to the nearby Givon prison in Ramla the same morning. Their expulsion was canceled at the end because of Israel’s attack on Iran.

On board the Madleen were twelve activists, including Greta Thunberg. After the ship was arrested a week ago by the Israeli armed forces and the activists had been arrested, four of them opted for direct deportation. The remaining eight, including Rennes, objected to their deportation.

The ship is part of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition action group, who tries to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza with ships.
