Prateek Joshi moved from India to the English derby in 2021 to work as a radiologist in the Royal Derby Hospital. Although his wife Komi Vyas and their three children initially moved with them, after a while they decided to return to India, where Vyas would pick up her job as a doctor again.

But now the five would be reunited. Vyas had quit her job and the whole family would move to Derby. Joshi had traveled to India on Tuesday to pick up his wife, their twin sons of five and their eight -year -old daughter. Thursday they would fly from Ahmedabad to London.

Latter selfie

Just before the departure, the family made another selfie. The parents are on one side of the aisle, the three children on the other, they all smile in front of the photo, looking forward to what will come.

However, it would be the last photo they once took. Barely 30 seconds after taking off, the Air India flight crashed and all 242 people were killed, except for one person. Only the 38-year-old passenger Vishwashkumar Rameh survived as at Wonder de Crash.

‘Absolutely devastating’

On Saturday, friends and acquaintances came together in the Hindu Temple derby to commemorate the family. Manog Ramtohal, a colleague from Joshi in the hospital, stated “the drama would probably never get over”. “It is as if someone from our department was cut away. Joshi was generous, always willing to help. Nothing was too much for him. He worked with courtesy, courtesy and with good manners. The tragic thing is that he was getting better and we will never know what he could have achieved.”

Neil Ryan, a former neighbor of the family, stated that the news of their death was “absolutely devastating”. “They were the nicest family,” it says. “They were really modest, sincere. It is heartbreaking.”

According to Mario Dimitrio Donadio, a radiologist who collaborated with Joshi, Joshi was “really delighted” about the fact that he would be reunited with his family in the United Kingdom. “They were ready for a new chapter in their lives.”
