Two weeks ago the news was stone -hard, just like the decision that followed: Freek Rikkerink (32), from the Dutch artist couple Suzan and Freek, has incurable lung cancer and so they would never perform again. But they announced that they announced today, the two will still. And that, says psychiatrist Dirk De Wachter, is very human: “That is what artists do: they give comfort to people who experience the same pain.”
