The Labor Inspectorate gives a pick -up restaurant in the municipality of Coevorden a big slap on the fingers for violating the law. The company must keep its doors closed for two months.
According to the Labor Inspectorate, the employer went wrong several times with the payroll administrations. In 2020, the collection restaurant already received a warning, because it was not properly kept track of how much wage per employee was paid. Also, an inspector was not handed over all payslips and the time registrations were not correct compared to the hours actually worked.
In addition to the warning for a forced closure, the company then also received a fine of 24,000 euros for non -compliance with the Minimum Wage and Minimum Holiday Allowance Act. If the restaurant would go wrong again, it would be temporarily stopped.
And the latter is now the case. At the beginning of last year, the company was again pointed to the law and an inspection visit was announced. During that inspection it became clear that the collection restaurant had again gone wrong with the administration. According to the Labor Inspectorate, the lack of administration cannot check whether staff will receive the minimum wage and holiday pay. That is why the restaurant now receives a fine of 85,500 euros.
To prevent recurrence, the Labor Inspectorate stops the work of the company. The next two months, work is not allowed at the collection restaurant. Ignoring a stilling is punishable, says the inspection. The Labor Inspectorate does not announce which restaurant is involved.
