Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. In the New sticker on T-Online you will find all the important messages about the “red pants”.
Hamburger SV is preparing for its first Bundesliga season in Herzogenaurach after seven years. From July 14th to 19th, the team of promotion coach Merlin Polzin will receive the training center “HomeGround” of its supplier Adidas.
In the past, the German national team used the facility several times, for example during the European Championships 2024 and most recently at the final round of the Nations League. The German footballers also prepared for the European Championship in Switzerland, which begins on July 2. The facility offers numerous places and 15 bungalows.
“Since the team can work intensively and in love here,” said sports director Stefan Kuntz, according to HSV, the “HomeGround” offers ideal conditions for a training camp.
The players of the Bundesliga returnee complete the mandatory performance test on June 30th and July 1st. The official start of training is on July 2.

SV Elversberg has committed Luis Seifert. The 21-year-old central defender comes from the second team of Hamburger SV and receives a contract until summer 2028.
Seifert was first trained at 1st FC Magdeburg and then at RB Leipzig. At the age of 17 he switched to Hamburger SV, where he played in the A-Junior Bundesliga. In winter 2021 it was also used twice for the German U18 national team. From the 20222/2023 season, he was an integral part of the HSV-U21 in the Regionalliga Nord and played 72 games there. At the same time, he collected impressions from the professionals, including in several training camps.
“Luis is a developing player with the potential to take the next step in Elversberg,” said SVE sports director Ole Book. Seifert is also optimistic about the new task: “I am very happy about the opportunity to prove myself at SV Elversberg. I am sure that I have the right environment here to develop personally and at the same time to address the challenges that await us with an ambitious and likeable team.”
A month after the ascent, the future of Davie Selke has still not been clarified at the HSV-the contract of the second division goalkeeper king expires at the end of June. The signs are on separation.
A replacement could come from Eintracht Braunschweig: Rayan Philippe is considered faster, athletically strong strikers and would therefore fit well into the Hamburg’s profile, reports the “kicker”. The 24-year-old is allowed to switch to the Bundesliga this summer-however, a transfer would not be cheap. The HSV would have to transfer around 2.5 million euros to Braunschweig. In addition to the HSV, Werder Bremen, 1. FC Köln and 1. FC Heidenheim are said to have interest.
Former HSV coach Markus Gisdol is back on the coaching bench-and takes the step into the Turkish Süper Lig again. After a year, the 55-year-old takes the office at the first division club KaySerispor.
As the club confirmed on Wednesday evening, the Geislinger native signed a contract until 2026. Gisdol most recently worked at Ligarival Samsunspor, but decided there in the summer of 2024 against an extension. He used the time to recharge your batteries, he said.
At HSV, Gisdol was employed from September 2016 to January 2018. In his first season in Hamburg, he managed direct relegation on the last matchday. At Kayserispor, he succeeds Sergei Jakirović, who has switched to the English second division club Hull City – there was also a former Hamburg trainer with Tim Walter until November 2024.
