The tremor victory at the start: Co -favorite Spain prevents the Patzer

The “red fury” starts furiously in the tournament, a double strike seems to bring the highly traded team towards victory – but then the game takes a surprising turn.
It would almost have been a nasty surprise for Spain at the start of the U21 European Championship. Against host Slovakia, the team, who was a fellow favorite, won just 3-2 (2-0) after major problems.
Marc Pubill (16th) and Mateo Joseph (18th) quickly brought the team into the lead with a double strike, and Spain also dominated. But with the start of the second half of the game, the underdog turned to Passive Spaniards: Samuel Kopásek (48th) and Tomáš Suslov (53rd / penalty). In the 90th minute, however, César Tárrega still scored the winning goal for the Iberer. The leadership in Group A.
The German selection will start in Group B on Thursday (from 9 p.m. in the live ticker at T-Online) in Nitra against Slovenia. Afterwards, the team of DFB coach Antonio di Salvo is still against the Czech Republic (June 15) and defending champion England (June 18).
The two best teams reach the quarter -finals from the four groups of four. The final will increase in the capital Bratislava on June 28th.
