The Finnish police are looking for a family with eight children who disappeared without a trace on 15 May 2024 in Pedersören, in the west of the country. According to Buren, the family lived completely isolated. Seven of the children – four boys and three girls between 3 and 17 years old – were placed early last year after concerns about their well -being. Parents Karoliina and Tommy Karf are suspected of having taken their children unlawfully. They are being sought internationally.
