BVB officially makes Jobe Bellingham

The change announced for weeks. Now the BVB Jobe Bellingham has officially presented as a new addition.

Borussia Dortmund has a Bellingham again in his own ranks. On Tuesday, the Borussians officially presented Jobe Bellingham, younger brother of ex-BVB Star Jude Bellingham, as a new addition. The 19-year-old comes from the English Premier League promoted AFC Sunderland and signs a contract until 2030.

According to reports, the Dortmunders for Bellingham’s services transfer 30.5 million euros to England. Due to bonuses, the sum could therefore increase by a further five million euros and Sunderland receives a 15 percent share. The newcomer should be on the pitch at the club World Cup starting in a few days. He will probably wear the number 77 first. Jude Bellingham switched from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid in the summer of 2023 for around 100 million euros.

“Jobe is an exceptionally talented player who, despite his young age, already has a remarkable maturity and game intelligence,” said sports manager Lars Ricken. “We are convinced that it fits perfectly with our philosophy, promoting young talents and giving them the opportunity to develop at the highest level.” Sports director Sebastian Kehl called Bellingham an “absolute leader”.

Jobe Bellingham was last nominated for the English U21 national team, for which he has played four games so far. However, he will fly to the USA with BVB on Friday. The fighting and running central midfielder was an indispensable pillar in the championship for Sunderland in the promotion season: it ran in 40 out of 46 season games- 38 times over 90 minutes. He scored four goals, three more.
