The beginnings of Moreno Machinery:
Its founder, Antonio Nyszta, was working as Factory Manager at Necchi Argentina, when he decided to change course, which is why in 1977 he opened a store in the town of Moreno. He started fixing sewing machines and little by little the business grew.
Then his children, Graciela and Guillermo, took over, who with great effort and dedication turned their father’s legacy into a small family business that over time knew how to bear fruit.
This 2022 Maquinería Moreno celebrates 45 years serving the community and is in its third generation in charge. Melina has a degree in Finance and is responsible for the radical change in this family business: “Today we must look for what makes us different, understand why our products have added value and that the customer is the first to differentiate it,” she says.
Crisis or opportunity?
“Taking into account the context, the outbreak of the pandemic has played a fundamental role in understanding the importance of adapting to changes in time. We are an SME and as such we depend solely on our own resources, which is why, in a crisis situation where it is necessary to maintain an operational structure, it becomes very difficult to keep the business going”, says Melina.
The role of technology:
“We are in the digital age, that is why we adapt to the circumstances looking for a way to survive, because we understand that technology is no longer an option, but rather a necessity in order to continue competing in an increasingly complex world. Thanks to the implementation of electronic commerce, our company not only considerably increased its level of sales, it has also obtained clients throughout the country. In March 2021, we started importing our own merchandise, which allowed us to offer better prices and increase our position in the market.” And he added: “Our challenge is to follow that path, that is why we continually update ourselves, without losing contact with the client because that was, is and will be our trademark. We like direct contact, being able to talk to them, be present and advise them on whatever they need”.
Products and services offered by the company:
“Currently we offer sale and repair of family and industrial machines, we also accept exchanges and machines as part of payment to facilitate access to new units. In addition, in our store you can find a wide variety of threads, spare parts and haberdashery items. We not only import merchandise, we have a wide network of local suppliers, which gives us the possibility of offering the best prices in the market”.
