At the ‘t Geertje farm, on the border of Zoetermeer and Zoeterwoude, there is a jetty where you can get on a tour boat a few times a year. The skipper takes you to places in the Groene Hart where you may never have been. Indebuurt stepped on board and sailed to Vlietland.

The Meervaarder is a kind of whisper boat and is controlled by a skipper with a diesel and electric motor. A guide shares fun facts about the surroundings and history along the way, for example about the origin of the polder or tough stories about the Geuzen. With a group you sail through the polders between Zoeterwoude, Stompwijk, De Weipoort, Voorschoten and Leidschendam.

From mid -April to the end of September the volunteers of the Meervaarder are active. The foundation organizes a two -hour Poldervaart for which you a ticket. There are also theme tickets where you can take the boat on for example Father’s Day, Prinsjesdag or on a warm summer evening. Do you have something to celebrate or do you want to come along with your own group of people? Then you can book a special group vessel. Verij ‘t Geertje can take care of drinks and drinks on the road.

Beautiful-weather-sailors

The Meervaarder offers the possibility to bring your bike on the boat. The skipper will drop you off at the Vlietland nature reserve, after which you continue to cycle your way.
